Valparaiso's Maple + Bacon is celebrating the Barbie movie with three themed drinks.

  • Malibu Barbie Sangria is made with Rumchata Limon, UV Cake, Malibu, Pineapple, Glitter, and Pinot Grigio.
  • Pretty in Pink has Howler Head Banana Whiskey, Banana Liqueur, Vanilla, Strawberry, Lemon, Glitter, and lime soda.
  • Barbie Blush (non-alcoholic) is made with Jade Cloud Green Tea, Cream, Rose, Strawberry, and Whipped Cream.

Visit the Century of Progress Homes

There are five Century of Progress homes at the Indiana Dunes National Park, but only one looks like the Barbie Dreamhouse. The Florida Home was built for the 1933 Chicago World's Fair, after which it was moved by barge to its current location. Just remember to use your best Barbie-approved manners when taking pictures in front of the house as people do live there.

Blockhead Beerworks in Valparaiso has whipped up a Barbie-themed cocktail to celebrate and is also having a Barbie event next month. While you're there, be sure to try their sushi, steam buns, or noodles.

The Dreamhouse is made with Teremana Blanco Small Batch Tequila, Coconut Milk, Strawberry, and Lime.
