Moviegoers will delight in a beautiful outdoor summer evening with various free, family-friendly activities prior to the 7:00 p.m. showing. From meeting favorite movie characters to face painting, balloon twisting, and caricatures—there’s something for everyone to enjoy! The movie nights will also feature live music, themed décor, and photo ops. At The Sandlot showing on Tuesday, July 2nd, there will be a special appearance by Tom Guiry, the actor who played Scotty Smalls in everyone’s favorite baseball blockbuster.

And what’s a movie without popcorn!? Free popcorn, courtesy of Valparaiso Baptist Church, will be available at 5:30 p.m. until supplies last. Additional treats will be available for purchase from Valpo Velvet and other various food vendors. Moviegoers are also encouraged to grab dinner to-go from one of their favorite downtown restaurants and to bring a blanket and chairs for the lawn.
