Washington Park Beach & Zoo

Spend a day exploring the Washington Park area. A park with open play areas and pier fishing start your morning. Eat lunch in the picnic area or shelters, then go for a swim on the beach. Before you leave, check out the lighthouse with a museum that includes information about historical shipwrecks, or take some time to enjoy the zoo. Launch your kayaks from the beach for access to the Lake Michigan Water Trail. If all that’s not enough, enjoy the splash pad in summer.
