Seidner Dune and Swale

This 43-acre property protects globally rare dune-and-swale topography and floodplain marsh along the Grand Calumet River. Impressive wildflower displays include wild lupine and puccoon in the spring and fringed gentians and prairie plants in the fall. Egrets, herons, and cormorants are often sighted along the river during the summer. An informal hiking trail exists along the frontage road and former railway right of way.
