Forest Park
Though Forest Park is just ten acres in size, it is a lovely spot for a stroll or for a family picnic. Oak and hickory trees dominate the woodlands here. You can wander along trails through a restored two-acre oak savanna remnant. Non-native plants have been removed from the understory. The native woodland wildflowers and shrubs have been planted providing a place to enjoy a native habitat inside the city. A small prairie plant demonstration plot hosts families of bluebirds in the summer. You will also find picnic pavilions, restrooms, and a playground here. Ogden Botanical Gardens is adjacent to the east.
