Where are the Turtles

Learn about the incredible diversity of turtles, some extraordinary adaptations, and how researchers find turtles in the wild. This webinar will introduce native turtle species from the Midwest, many of which can be found while hiking around the Dunes. You will discuss fun facts about these species and what habitats they live in. You will then focus on the conservation of the state-endangered Blanding turtle. Callie Klatt Golba, a turtle researcher, will discuss strategies used to study these turtles, as well as how this information can help conserve turtle populations.
