Sunset Paddle at Marquette

Enjoy a leisurely float in the Marquette Park lagoons with park rangers to feel the late afternoon breeze. The national park will provide kayaks, paddles, and lifejackets; you just need to bring your sense of adventure.
There are a few reservations available. These free paddles will take place from 5-8 pm. Children and youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult to participate.
Participants will meet at the kayak launch at Marquette Park in Gary. A small number of free parking spots are available near the accessible boat launch west of the Marquette Park Pavilion, and paid parking is available in the Marquette Park Beach parking lot. The Marquette Park Pavilion is and the launch is 50 yards to the west.
