About

Located in the elegantly restored 1885 Brown Mansion, the Westchester Township History Museum houses exhibits that trace the history of Westchester Township from the glacial era to the present, and also features works by local artists. During the summer, the museum hosts a free concert series on Fridays, as well as many other public programs. The museum store offers a great selection of books, posters, and maps related to the history of Westchester Township. Wednesday - Sunday 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. or by appointment.

Westchester Township History Museum invites music lovers to attend Music at the Museum. Join "The Flashbacks" as thy present a special program "Songs of the Season." Included are familiar holiday music, plus songs from other lands in other languages. There will also be Appalachian tunes and songs that sing of more ancient themes of darkness and light.

Are you looking for something for your kids to do over winter break? Children 6-12 are invited to paint a memorable winter scene at "Cupcakes and Canvas". No previous art experience is necessary and all supplies are provided, including cupcakes! participants should wear clothes that can get messy. A parent or guardian must accompany each child. parents may register their child for 1 or the 4 painting sessions offered to begin Monday, December 2. Class size is limited to 12 children per session. Register your child at the museum or by calling 219-98-9715.
