History Comes Alive!

An entire weekend of history themed programming at Indiana Dunes State Park.Visitors to Indiana Dunes State Park are again invited to re-live history of the dunes area on September 10 and 11. All weekend long, members of the Ouiatenon Brigade will be set up on the beach, just east of the Beach Pavilion. The Ouiatenon Brigade portrays the French-Canadian voyageurs of the 1700’s, and prides itself in its authenticity of dress, food and general lifestyle. The group encampment will be located near the Pavilion and will be available for visitors to experience throughout the weekend. Interpretive Naturalists will also be leading hikes to the encampment from the nature center and be offering other various history program the entire weekend.
