Twilight Parade and Duneland Christmas Celebration

The Duneland Christmas Celebration begins the Friday after Thanksgiving (November 23rd) and continues through Saturday, November 24th. Festivities start Friday evening at 5:30pm, with the Twilight Christmas Parade.The Parade which steps off from Chesterton Middle School and continues through downtown from Broadway to Calumet Road and along Porter Avenue before returning back to the middle school parking lot. Before the Twilight Parade, visitors and guests are treated to free horse drawn carriage rides provided by Buggies and Things and sponsored by Chesterton’s Mistletoe Market. The rides will begin at 3:00pm and will be accompanied by festive holiday music throughout the downtown. After the Twilight Parade, Santa will be in his house in Thomas Centennial Park to greet all the boys and girls from 6:00pm to 8:30p.m. Each child will receive a coloring book, candy cane and coupon donated by Applebee’s Bar & Grill. Santa will be in his house every Saturday through Christmas from 10:00 a.m. to noon and again from 1:00 to 3:00p.m.
