The Westchester Township History Museum will unveil its new exhibit A Woman's Work is Never Done: Local Women 1860-1920. Learn about the efforts of women inside and outside the home that helped build our community and enjoy some women-themed music. History hasn't always acknowledged the efforts of women in the early development of small communities. From home-makers and community activists to factory workers and business owners, local women labored for their families and neighbors since they first settled in the area. Lost to time, these women's stories largely went unrecorded, unacknowledged, and unappreciated. This exhibit recognizes the work of local women who had little voice and not vote but made a great impact on our community by helping to make successful local businesses, organizations, and households.
