Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest, formerly Taltree is a dog-friendly oak preserve of formal gardens, woodlands, wetlands, and prairies that offers a variety of events, classes and exhibits year-round.
Featuring dwarf plants and model steam engine trains, the exhibit showcases the impact steam engine trains had on early 19th century US railroads. Check the website for special events.
Join Purdue University Northwest astronomy professors Adam Rengstorf, Ph.D., Aaron Warren, Ph.D., and Jessica Warren, Ph.D., for an evening of stargazing and night sky viewing. Participants will have a chance to look through a telescope to observe visible planets, take a tour of seasonal constellations and catch a glimpse of other galaxies and nebulae.
Get into the holiday spirit with a classic Christmas story time. Enjoy cookies, cocoa, story and craft time. Hang out with Santa and see the Railway Garden's train in action. Held on Sat .the 1st, 8th & 15th.
