One of the most beautiful and ecologically diverse corridors to be found, the Oak-Savannah Trail represents an outstanding journey through savannahs, remnant prairies, wetlands, lakes, parks and urban environments. A majority of this 10-mile trail traverses through lush woodlands, and offers riders and hikers alike an unparalleled natural experience in NW Indiana. The Oak-Savannah Trail starts at the Oak Ridge Prairie County Park on the west, snaking through downtown Hobart, and connecting to the Prairie-Duneland Trail on the east. Parking and access locations for the trail include from west to east: Oak Ridge Prairie County Park, 301 South Colfax Street, where an entrance fee is required; and these Hobart locations: Robinson Lake Park at Liverpool Road; City Ball Park at Lake and 8th Streets; corner of South Illinois and Lilian Streets; and on North Hobart Avenue (State Road 130) just north of Cleveland Avenue.
