Want to create a personalized tour of Indiana Dunes Country? Just stop by the Visitor Center. Our front desk destination concierges are knowledgeable and can handpick the perfect attractions and activities for you. If you happen to drop by after hours, the brochure-stocked vestibule is open around the clock. You can also walk through our ever-changing exhibit room, learn about the history and ecology of the Dunes at our in-house movie theatre and pick out educational mementos in our gift shop. Don't miss... taking a walk around our building and learning about its eco-friendly architecture. Go to each station to learn about rain gardens and native landscaping, and get ideas of environmentally friendly things you can do at home. Saw-whet Owl Banding

Burn the midnight oil with the Indiana Audubon as they bring the season of Saw-Whet owl banding to the Dunes. Visitors can learn about Indiana's smallest owl in this up-close-and-personal experience. Programs occur each Thursday-Sunday at 7 pm (6 pm after November 2). Evening presentations are free, with any captured owls being banded shortly after during hourly checks. Nightly programs are weather dependent. Visitors are advised to call ahead to confirm banding will take place on any public night or join the owl banding text and email alert program for nightly status updates at http://bit.do/owlbnding.
