This 64-acre park offers good wildlife viewing in a suburban setting. Crabapple trees draw cedar waxwings. Mature oaks shelter small mammals and songbirds, and native wildflowers attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and songbirds. A paved trail leads through restored oak savanna forest, and interpretive panels along the way tell the story of the park's natural history and management. The park's restoration efforts won a federal Conservation and Native Landscaping Award in 2001. The park offers many developed amenities as well, including a community center (with banquet halls, gymnasium, and meeting rooms), skate park, pre-school, playgrounds, ball fields, picnic shelters, and a bouldering play area.
