The Photography of William Richardson presented at museum

Gregg Hertzlieb of the Brauer Museum of Art at Valparaiso University will present the

photography of William Richardson at the Westchester Township History Museum, 700 W.

Porter Ave., Chesterton, on Saturday, June 20, at 2 PM.

A chemist at trade and photographer at heart, William Richardson took thousands of

photographs from around the world in the early 1900s, including the Indiana Dunes.

Richardson loved the Dunes and visited often with his wife and their friends from the Prairie

Club.

Hertzlieb will present some of Richardson’s rarely-seen photographs, discuss his techniques,

and talk about his place in photographic history.

The Westchester Township History Museum is an educational and cultural service of

Westchester Public Library, and is open to the public free of charge Wednesday-Sunday from
