Valparaiso, IN – Tickets are now on sale for Taltree Arboretum & Gardens’ first ever OAKtoberfest on Saturday, October 25. This outdoor event celebrates oak-aged brews in a beautiful fall setting. The menu is comprised of a variety of brews, hard ciders and appetizer-style food pairings provided by Chef David Wodrich from Third Coast Spice Café in Chesterton, Indiana.

“These food and drink combinations offer a flavorful experience in every bite,” Wodrich said. “Oak barrels add a woodsy flavor that is intense and has a kick that will keep you warm on a cool fall day.”

Guests will be given the chance to rank their tastings. The five most popular brew and food pairings will be featured at OAKtoberfest 2015. Guests will also be entered to win an annual Taltree membership, a $100 value.

“OAKtoberfest is unique because it offers exceptional food and drink pairings, and because the beers and ciders are oak-barrel aged,” said Alexis R. Faust, President and CEO of Taltree Arboretum & Gardens. “These brews have an amazing range of aroma and flavors creating an experience on the palate that any foodie or beer connoisseur will love.”

This adult-only event features selections from Samuel Adams, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., New Holland Brewing, North Coast Brewing Company and Angry Orchard.
