Regional Tourism Efforts & Developments
Under the Northern Indiana Tourism Development Commission, we are working with our neighboring Visitor Centers to help build a strong regional brand while augmenting our individual efforts. Several initiatives that are regional, collective or unilateral in scope are underway to ensure we continue to attract visitors from around the world.
The Dunes-Kankakee Trail corridor from Indiana Dunes State Park and Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore to the Kankakee River will provide an exciting north-south link to the trail systems in Porter County.

Destination Development Project

Given this environment, Indiana Dunes Tourism retained Phoenix-based Nichols Tourism Group and its alliance partner The National Laboratory of Tourism and eCommerce at Temple University to develop a Destination Audit and Product Positioning Analysis.
